Alexi Mykaela Bickers, age 20, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2012 in Palmer, Alaska.

A Memorial Service in honor of Alexi will be held 1:00p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at St. Michaels Catholic Church – 432 E. Fireweed Ave. - Palmer, Alaska. A Celebration of Life will be held at the church following the service. Father Jaime Mencias will be officiating.

Alexi was born October 15, 1991 in Palmer, Alaska daughter of Terina Alcantra and Eric Bickers.

As a child, Alexi loved to be outside and especially enjoyed going to the park with friends and family. Alexi grew up in Palmer, but spent a few years in Mesa, Arizona where she found her love for swimming, sunbathing, and fashion. She brought these joys back with her to Alaska where despite the cold weather Alexi continued to enjoy swimming and sunbathing at Kepler Bradley Lake with friends and family.

Alexi was an outgoing, charismatic, loving, and contagiously energetic person, who had the ability to bring warmth and love with her wherever she went. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Lily Vogel whose smile lit up the room whenever Alexi entered. She always ensured Lily’s wellbeing, care, and happiness. Alexi loved to make Lily laugh and she had an uncanny ability to do so.

Alexi had a special place in her heart for her sister, Cara and her brother, Adam. With them she found companionship, confidents, and partners in the joy of life. She loved her mom and dad. With her father she shared common joys of hunting, fishing, and soccer. With her mother she shared the love of music, soccer, and family.

She had plans to further her education with the goal of becoming a Certified Medical Assistant in hopes of helping and caring for others.

Alexi was a beautiful, talented, vivacious, spiritual and loving person who will be missed and celebrated by many.

Alexi is preceded in death by her cousin, Kenny Alcantra.
